Fanart for my own fic. x'D That must be the lamest thing ever, haha. It's in the beginning where Romano is watching Rome burn. For some reason I couldn't get the image out of my head - although it turned out different color-wise here because I'm still experimenting with brushes 'n stuff.

The signs roughly state Maximus and Tetries, the savior of Rome and the man of Pompeii; Attilius, victor of Hilarius and Raecius Felix. The phrases were played around with Google translate because I was too lazy to look it up in my Latin book. I'm pretty sure the first sign is wrong because Virum is a Accusative if I remember correctly, and should just be a Genative. [*Viri, I checked. I'll edit later.] However, I added them for two three reasons: non-subtle pandering to Gladiator which is the movie of all movies with hgnngRussel Crowe and if haven't watched it you Really Really Should Immediately. yes you know who you are. 0_0 -and I thought it was fantastic that ancient Romans actually drew graffiti of their favorite gladiators, like Attilius, Hilarius, Raecius Felix, and Tetries. In a funny way, I think Veneziano and Romano would follow them religiously when they were little. Like the Iron Man kids~ I also needed a way to fill up empty wall space because it looked empty //shot

I colored everything while listening to the Gladiator soundtrack on loop, of course!

Looks like a little ghost bb. I want to hug him~

Illustrating your own fanfic is really awesome. Most people only do one or the other (fanart vs fanfic), but I've always liked the folks who incorporate loads of both into their work, like makani and sully_s. I can't think of many people who actually illustrate their own fanfic though, so yay, originality!

edit: also I love love love the lines in the rug or whatever it is, those are amazing.
